Abdul Aziz is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). He earned his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Chittagong and has been a member of the CSECU-DSG Research Lab under Dr. Abu Nowshed Chy since 2020. His research lies at the intersection of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision, with a focus on multilingual and multimodal AI, low-resource NLP, AI for social good, opinion mining, and biomedical & health informatics. He has published in top-tire NLP and ML venues (including LREC, COLING, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, RANLP and Elsevier journals) and was part of three shared-task winning teams at top-tire NLP conference's workshop competitions, including FIRE-2020, EMNLP-2022, and CLEF-2023.
