About CRP
Mission, Vision & Objectives
Aim: The Center for Research & Publication (CRP) of IIUC aims at creating new knowledge in different branches of disciplines, Islamization of existing disciplines and dissemination of this knowledge to learners, academicians, and practical users.
Mission: To explore new dimensions of knowledge in the existing programs and new branches of knowledge and also to Islamize the whole education system and disseminate this knowledge in different branches of scholarship for the seekers of knowledge.
Vision: To work towards building a just, upright society which is based on faith and the foundation of logic and knowledge.
Activities of CRP
A. Research, Workshop and Conference
- Organize Seminars, Symposiums, and Workshops to train up IIUC staff on research activities.
- Organize Workshops, National, and International Conferences on different burning issues including those related to Muslim Ummah and the challenges faced by them.
- Undertake individual and joint programs of research on different issues.
- Explore avenues for organizing joint research programs in collaboration with other Universities abroad.
- Identify the areas of new research and issues of priority of research in the context of national and Ummatic interest.
- Enter into Contracts with foreign universities and arrange Doctoral Training Agreements for IIUC staff and postgraduate students.
B. Publication
- Publish research monographs or books independently or jointly with other institutes/universities.
- Publish research journals (OAJ and print) and periodicals in different International Languages and explore marketing opportunities.
- Continue publishing the four existing journals: IIUC Studies (English), Dirāsāt al-Jāmi‘ah al-Islāmiyyah al-‘Alamiyyah Chittagong (Arabic), IIUC Business Review, and IIUC Journal of Science and Engineering (under OAJ).
- Arrange regular display programs on CRP activities and generate income through publication sales.
- Facilitate faculty members in producing and publishing scholarly works in indexed/ranked journals.
C. Ethical Knowledge
- Take initiatives for inclusion of ethical knowledge to improve ethical orientation through Islamic understanding.
- Add additional contents to remodel conventional course contents (where possible) from Islamic perspectives.
- Modify teaching modes and presentation of conventional courses to highlight Islamic relevance.
- Take any other initiatives for operations as deemed suitable by competent authority.
