Seminar on Higher Education Opportunities in Malaysia Held at IIUC; IIUC and USIM Sign Letter of Intent

A seminar on higher education opportunities in Malaysia was held at the International Islamic University Chittagong today at the university’s Central Auditorium. The seminar was titled 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚: 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬. It was jointly organised by IIUC and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). The seminar was attended by USIM Vice-Chancellor Professor Dato' Ts. Dr. Sharifudin Md Shaarani as the Chief Guest. The session was chaired by IIUC Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Azadi. A. N. M. Shamsul Islam, Chairman of the IIUC Board of Trustees was also present. The special guests included USIM Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dato' Dr. Nik Salida Suhaila Nik Saleh and IIUC Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hasmat Ali. Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Rushdan Mohd Jailani, Dean of the Faculty of Leadership and Management at USIM also spoke at the seminar. IIUC Treasurer Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman and Registrar Colonel Md. Quasem, PSC (Retd) were also present. The seminar focused on the opportunities and prospects for higher education at USIM and other universities in Malaysia. At the end of the session, a question-and-answer session was held, allowing participants to ask questions about higher education. IIUC presented crests to the invited guests in recognition of their presence. The programme was hosted by Dr. Azizul Haque, Director of the IIUC Centre for Research and Publication (CRP). Prof. Dr. Abu Bakar Rafique Ahmad, former Vice-Chancellor of IIUC and member of BoT led the closing prayer. After the seminar IIUC and USIM signed a Letter of Intent at the university’s Conference Room. The document aims to explore and promote opportunities for higher education and academic cooperation between the two universities. IIUC Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Azadi signed the document on behalf of IIUC while USIM Vice-Chancellor Prof. TS Dr. Sharifuddin Mohamed Shari signed it on behalf of USIM.
