. Description of the program
The Bachelor program ofSciences of Hadith & Islamic Studies (SHIS) consists of 52 courses carrying 150 Credits of which General Education (GED) courses13, carrying 38 credits(i.e. minimum 250credits), core courses 39, carrying 112 credits (including final year project/internships and viva-voces) and elective courses of 18 credits. The detailed course structure of 150Credits is provided in the following Table as approved by the Academic Committee meeting held on……..2022. Category wise credits GED courses are as follows:
a. Arts & Humanities Courses 20Credits
b. Social Sciences Courses 9 Credits
c. Basic Sciences Courses 3 Credits
d. ICT 6 Credits
Total: (a+b+c+d) 38 Credits
A total of ABCDcredit hours has to be undertaken and completed by a student during 8 semesters. The duration of each semester is 6 months. Each course carries 100 marks. There are 50 marks for Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and 50 marks for Semester End Examination (SEE).
Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum will be followed during the completion of 4-years Bachelor Degree. This curriculum helps to establish a learning environment that develops and promotes the skills of inquiry, reflection, critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, teamwork, and communication in students to create a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) in Education.
