Prof. Dr Abu Reza Nadwi is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Chittagong-15. He is a Prof. in Da`wah & Islamic Studies Department, International Islamic University Chittagong since August 14. 2004 A.D. He is the Chairman of a number of foundation including Allama Fazlullah Foundation, Darul Hikma Education Foundation, Chittagong International School(CIS), Arabian International Madrasah and Emirates Welfare & Educational Complex Trust. Dr Abu Reza Md. Nezamuddin Nadwi sits on a number of Shariah Advisory Boards including Union Bank Ltd (as a Chairman) and he was a former shariah member of Agrani Bank Limited. He has written 6 books and 22 Research Articles in Arabic & Bengali.

• He has contributed a lot to the communities in the field of Education & Social welfare works. He played an important role in establishing the permanent campus of Internantional Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) at Kumira, which achived the recognition from the Government of Bangladesh as one of the top graded universities among 57 Private Universities in Bangladesh.
• Besides, he has been serving the humanity and communities through establishing a renown religious & welfare foundation named “Allama Fazlullah Foundation”
(approved by N.G.O affairs Bureau from office of the Prime Minister of Peoples Republic Bangladesh) for about 19 years. It should be mentioned that this humanitarian and welfare foundation is established by him in the name of his honorable late father renown Muslim thinker & scholar Allama Abul Barakat Mohammad Fazlullah (Rh.)
ALLAMA FAZLULLAH FOUNDATION:
It has been established by his father’s name in 1998. It is a government-approved organization and it has constructed and conducted the following activities and works.
• Constructing more than 700 mosques
• Constructing more than 1500 ablution places
• Constructing more than 120 Academic & Hostel buildings for Madrasah & University.
• Installing more than 6000 Tube-well (Deep and Shallow) • Stipend & Scholarship for 700 poor and meritorious students
• Regular Stipend for 700 orphans
• Employment for the poor through Sewing Machine, Riksha (a vehicle) Distribution an through Establishing Shops
• Training on Embroidery, Boutique etc for Rural Poor Women for ensuring their Employment
• Establishing Computer Lab for the orphans and the poor with a view to creating Digital Bangladesh
• The project -Interest free Loan for the needy is under process
• Providing medical treatment expenses, assistance to poor women for wedding.
• In every year, assistance and contribution are being provided by the Foundation through the arrangement of Iftari and Qurbani and so on.
• Yearly assistance is being provided by the foundation for performing Hajj-e Baitullah.
• 2 villages (Named Amirat Polli & OIC Polli) facilitating 120 families with Houses, Medical Center, educational institution and mosque have been constructed in Bagerhat & Madaripur district for Sidr affected people.
• Establishing 3 Ideal villages for homeless in Satkania &Lohagara Upazilla Chattaogram • Some Islamic books have been published in Arabic, English & Bengali through the funding of Foundation to promote Da’wah activities.
• Help for the Rohingya Refugees:
o Constructing 16000 temporary houses
o Installing hundreds of Tube well
o Providing Sanitary facilities
o Distributing necessary food items and other house hold things for than million refugees for the last two years

4. Attended the ‘1st International Conference of Islamic Humanatirian N.G.O’s in OIC Member States’ held on 7-14th March, 2008 at the city of tourism ‘SALY PORTUDAL’ in Senegal.
5. Visited Maldives as a state guest & met His Excellency Mr. Mamun Abdul Gayum at the capital city of country ‘Male’ in 1998.
6. Attended two separate International Conferences ‘ Middle-way is the Way of Life’ and ‘Us and Others’ hosted by His Excellency Ameer, the state of Kuwait in the supervision of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Kuwait in 2005 & 2006 as a state guest of Kuwait.
7. Attended the 1st Conference “International Union for Muslim Scholars” participated by the founder members of OIC and held in London in 2004. The conference was inaugurated by the then OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.
